As a newly engaged bride-to-be, I’m well into the wedding planning process and thought I might use my blog as a forum to offer some fun and (hopefully) useful advice for the big day. The Wedding Series will be how I share a my ideas and tips for making your wedding special and, of course, beautiful. xx Annie

Dear all glowing brides-to-be,

Welcome to the first installment of The Wedding Series! I’m so excited to begin chatting all things bride with you, from helpful beauty finds to party planning secrets. I’m lucky enough to have hired a wedding planner that I’m confident will bring to life my ultimate vision, and create a memorable weekend to celebrate love, marriage, family and friendships. These posts will reflect my personal tips, as well as a few things I’ve learned from the pros. To make sure this series is helpful, please let me know your thoughts in the comments below. I’d love to know what you want to read. Let’s make sure your big day is as chic as possible, shall we?

First things first, let’s talk bridesmaids. As I’m sure you can relate, my bridesmaids are the 12 most important women in my life. I chose very carefully: 4 family members, 4 of my best friends from college, a childhood best friend and 3 that I met since moving to New York. Honoring them is incredibly important to me, so giving them something special is key. Since I’m a fan of sticking to what you know when it comes to gifting, I’m giving my girls the gift of beauty and I think you should too.

Here’s what I propose: Find a cute, monogram-able cosmetic clutch and fill it with your favorite beauty finds. Choose products that will come in handy leading up to the big day and also provide some much needing pampering. Check out a few of my favorites below that can be grouped together or even used alone. If you’re trying to save a little, skip the bag and use one of these beauty goodies as a luxurious place setting for your bridal luncheon or shower.
