This is how you Achieve a Faux Body Glow (Sans Self-Tanner)

As a recovering self-tanning addict, I am always looking for ways to make my arms, legs, neck and chest look glowy without the commitment. While there are lots of really beautiful tinted and luminizing body moisturizers and oils, I find that they are either super toxic (I’m talking to you, Jergens) or greasy. There’s nothing worse than walking around a hot city with your legs sticking together.

Recently, a makeup artist gave me the best tip, which was to mix Becca’s new Shimmering Skin Perfector with my own lotion for the most beaming and luminous effect. I LOVE this approach. It’s become part of my AM routine. The perfector comes in so many shades to suite any skin tone. I am really into the lightest shade, Pearl, which actually makes my pale skin look not so bad in the summer sun. Oh, and don’t let the word ‘shimmering’ fool you, there are no sparkles here. The iridescent flecks create a beaming, lit-from-within look. You can also mix a bit in with your face lotion, dab it on cheekbones over your makeup or highlight specific parts of the body like your shoulders, collarbones and fronts of the legs. It’s simply the best.
