I hate to admit it but I am horrible at styling my own hair. Often times I rely on the professionals at the John Barrett Salon and at Drybar to maintain my style, so it only makes sense that dry shampoo has become a top shelf staple. The goal – to go as many days as possible without having to wash my hair. I seriously despise washing my hair.

I have quite the history when it comes to perfecting that perfectly tousled bedhead look. It all began with baby powder, which inevitably turned my hair from dirty blond to grey – and not in the good way. I took advise from Gwyneth and fell in love for French pharmacy find, Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo. A work colleague once suggested Pssssst! which is a fab yet inexpensive option. Most recently I have been relying on Oribe Dry Texturing Spray, which was recommended to me by just about every hair stylist that I have worked with.

Lets just say that my love for dry shampoo borderlines addiction. Hey, there are worse things to be addicted to!

On a recent trip to the John Barrett salon, my stylist Dhiran Mistry introduced me to the latest in the dry shampoo craze – Shu Uemura’s Volume Maker Invisible Texturizing Powder. This travel size product is perfect for the girl on the go, because you can pop it right in your purse for those mid day – or mid drink – touchups. Bathrooms breaks are not just for powdering your nose! The transparent and fragrance-free formula works magic on your roots, providing instant lift, texture and all-around volume.
