Uka Japanese Nail Oils Double as the Most amazing Rollerball Perfumes!

You guys, these nail oils are the BEST! Tokyo star manicurist Kiho Watanabe created uka oils as a way to hydrate parched nails and ragged cuticles. She then watched as clients adapted her all-natural, lightly fragranced formulas to use as perfume and even lip balm. They are sold separately OR as a set of 5, which includes the basic oil as well as four oils named for times of day: gently stimulating 7:15 contains notes of Hinoki wood (a species of Japanese cedar that smells unexpectedly green and fresh); minty-fresh 13:00 provides an afternoon boost, feminine and floral; 18:30 helps calm your senses after a long day; and tranquil 24:45 refers to the dream state induced by its soothing lavender and vanilla blend, all in a base of nourishing argan oil.

To be honest, I was never really into cuticle oil until now. Julie K, the Creative Director of Paintbox (read my in depth nail interview with her here), recently recommended I give uka a try and I’m officially hooked.  I have been using these oils liberally for the past month, usually during the day or at night, and I have noticed a huge difference – my nails have NEVER been longer. The oil actually absorbs into the nail, unlike lotion or cream, increasing circulation and stimulating new nail growth. Makes sense.

You girls need all these oils immediately.
