I know that for most girls the thought of switching over to natural and non-toxic skincare seems daunting and pointless. Many of you worry, like I once did, that organic products don’t work as well, and fear that you won’t get the results you need. But over the past few years, I have made an active effort to live a green(er) lifestyle, not only in the food and drinks that I consume, but also in terms of what I put on my skin. Switching over is abig choice, and one that takes time. It’s definitely not something you can do overnight.

Luckily, the natural and non-toxic beauty world is on fire. Now you don’t have to worry about sacrificing results, as brands are working even harder to create the most effective products possible using clean ingredients. In fact, I have found that your skin can be even better than ever. I really believe in this lifestyle movement all about detoxifying and wellness.

But yes switching over takes time. Try incorporating products here and there, and discovering for yourself what you love. I promise, it’s a wonderful thing to do for your skin and body. Think about it… We apply these products every single day, morning and night, for the rest of our lives! Why would we want to continuously pack our body with chemicals?!

So, as you’re looking to make the switch, it’s important to search for purely natural skincare products that are made with really high quality ingredients. These products nourish the skin and give you an amazing glow that you just can’t get with synthetic products.

As I just confirmed on my latest Whole Foods shopping spree post, there are a lot of natural and organic brands out there, and it’s even hard for me to filter through the ones that are really life-changing and work beautifully for the skin. I took a look at my bathroom top shelf, and nailed down my 10 favorite natural products that I keep buying again and again. These are the best of the best organic skincare products that every single girl (or boy) needs.

The Facial Cleanser: One Love Organics Vitamin B Cleansing Oil – The are a lot of cleaning oils out there, but this one takes the cake. The smell is so good, and the texture so delicious I practically want to eat it. I love the packaging and its really just a fabulous multi-tasking makeup removing cleanser.

The Facial Toner: I love natural beauty and Mun’s No. 11 Anarose Rejuvenating Rose Toner is no exception. It’s literally composed of new rose blossoms hand-harvested from Valley of the Roses, (the famed flower region in Bulgaria) and other lux ingredients like Prickly Pear Stem Extract, Goji Berry and Jasmine. I read about it first on one of my fav organic blogs, Genuine Glow.

The Facial Essence: At this point, it should be no surprise that Tata Harper’s Floral Essence Spray made my list. Her line is one of my all time favorites and I use her essence post toner, pre serum to hydrate and tighten skin.

The Facial Exfoliator: Tatcha’s Rice Enzyme Powder turns creamy when combined with water and is used to effortlessly release debris and from skin, leaving it polished and baby soft in an instant. I’ve covered it here, and try to use it at least once a week, and usually in conjunction with a good mask.

The Face Mask: May Lindstrom’s The Problem Solver  is one of those masks that you should use before a big night to ensure that you look great in pictures. It’s composed of raw cacao, bamboo charcoal, soil nutrients, salts and warming spices to tighten and brighten skin instantly. It’s so easy to use and just makes you the prettiest.

The Sunscreen: There are honestly only a hand full of natural and organic sunscreens that I actually trust, and usually prefer the shade and a big hat over even using SPF. But for most people who love the sun, not using sunscreen isn’t really an option. I love Suntegrity’s 5-in-1 Natural Moisturizing Tinted Face Sunscreen because it’s more like a tinted moisturizer and less sunscreeny. There are so many colors to choose from and they blend effortless into the skin. I picked up this baby a few years ago at the Detox Market in LA, as it’s one of their best sellers.

The Body Oil: Cocovit Coconut Oil is my latest body nourishing obsession. I apply this wonderful smelling coconut oil every single time I step out of the shower or tub.  I apply it on damp skin, and it absorbs quickly and leaves my skin soft all day. It can also be used for fun DIY concoctions: I came up with this coconut coffee scrub that I’m all about these days.

The Lip Balm: Grown Alchemist Watermelon and Vanilla Lip Balm is almost too delicious. The packaging is very chic and the Watermelon scent is so unique. It’s colorless and something I like to slather on all day long while working at my desk. In New York, they sell it at one of my favorite stores, The Line.

The Deodorant: Soapwalla Kitchen Deodorant Cream is one of the only natural deodorants that actually works. You scoop a little bit with your fingers apply directly to the skin. It’s super soft and creamy and smells like peppermint.
