The leaves are falling, the air is crisp and it officially feels like the new season is upon us (at least here in New York). There is something so inspiring about this time of year, an optimistic feeling that there is so much to look forward to in life. October gives us an excuse to relive our childhood – apple picking and pumpkin patch browsing. I personally love using a new season as an excuse to perfect my beauty routine. This year, I’m trying to be more organic and all natural whenever possible, remembering that skincare comes first and makeup second. You should too. It’s hard to cut out all chemicals all at once, but simply being aware of what we put on our skin and being mindful is a step in the right direction. Clean beauty leads to a clean body. It’s time to treat your body like a temple…not a trashcan.
This is my October Glow Guide.
Crème de la Mer Hand Treatment – There is nothing less sexy than crackly, dry hands. Improve your life and invest in younger skin with the power of La Mer. For every purchase of this limited edition Hand Treatment, La Mer will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Breast Cancer Research Fund.
Stella McCartney Gemma Bra – Stella’s mom Linda passed away from breast cancer in 1998, but her influence can still be felt in her daughter’s work, including her newest launch—pink, lacy lingerie for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A portion of the proceeds will go towards a new mammography suite at the Linda McCartney Center in Liverpool. Even Kate Moss herself models the pretty set in a photo shot by Mert and Marcus.
Sachajuan Protective Hair Perfume – Mix it up…your perfume that is. Spritz your hair instead with the intoxicating scent that moisturizes, reduces static, and gives shine and UV-protection with a unique anti-odour technology.
Darphin Redness Relief Soothing Serum – No one does skincare and aromatherapy quite like the French. Darphin’s latest serum removes redness, something that certainly becomes more apparent in the upcoming colder months. This high potency, soothing serum helps reduce the appearance of redness and instantly quiets discomfort associated with irritated skin. The delightfully scented formula softens sensitive skin and leaves a comforted, more even-looking complexion.
Bumble and bumble Pret-a-Porter – I love Bb.’s dry shampoo. A few squeezes worked into the hair can give you that second day bedhead look. For every purchase of this limited edition product, Bb. will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Breast Cancer Research Fund.
Tata Harper Moisturizing Overnight Mask – You know I am one of Tata’s biggest fans. Her latest launch is this skin-quenching mask that works as a perfect overnight fix. The treatment provides maximum hydration and long-lasting moisture to even the most dehydrated, stressed skin. It also helps protect skin from moisture loss, delivering a dramatically replenished feel and restoring a dewy luminosity.
Tweezerman Precision in Pink Slant – To commemorate their commitment to the fight against Breast Cancer, Tweezerman created this super cute and limited edition Breast Cancer Awareness version of their award winning beauty tool.
Byredo Mojave Ghost – My perfume of the moment that I legitimately can’t stop spraying. You know I love its culty-like scent.
Tata Harper Volumizing Lip and Cheek Tints in Very Sweet – A soft shimmering peach leaves the skin looking dewy and effervescent. Also makes a beautiful highlighter, and it plumps the skin too! Love!
Smashbox Lipgloss – A sparkly pink gloss that PLUMPS that pout. A limited-edition shade of their Be Legendary Lip Gloss, created exclusively for their Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. Why not have bigger lips?
Dolce & Gabbana The Foundation Perfect Luminous Liquid Foundation – Simply the best. It gives great coverage and leaves skin super dewy. It’s what I use.
