The Met Gala may have come and gone, but the beauty looks from the red carpet will serve as constant spring to summer inspiration. If you are anything like me, scanning through one of NY MAG’s good ole’ fashion slideshows is your guiltiest pleasure. One of the biggest trends at the event was the nude lip. It seems like everyone was feeling this nearly naked statement. OK, so I went through and picked out my 5 favorite lip looks and even did a little research to find out exactly what colors these girls were wearing. These are my favorites…this is my Met Gala Lip Inspa.

Orange is the New Black: Marion Cotillard couldn’t be chicer or more French in this rolled ’40s hairstyle with the vinyl-effect orange lips (which keeps it modern). Her makeup artist Christophe Danchaud lined the lips with Hourglass Panoramic Long Wear Lip Liner in Raven before applying Hourglass Femme Rouge Velvet Crème Lipsticks in Raven and Muse. NEED!

Hottest Pink: It’s obvious that Mad Men’s Jessica Pare is stunning with or without makeup, but I can’t help but notice what a damn good pink she wore. Makeup artist Mai Quynh created this pretty look using NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Yu. Buying this immediately. On her cheeks, she used NARS Matte Multiple in Anguilla which is subtle yet effective. I also love that she skipped the eyeliner and went with a metallic wash over the lids instead.

Rosey Nude: I loved Michelle Williams’s vibe. I actually prefer when Michelle goes Louis Vuitton and rocks a vampy dark lip, but this is very pretty too. Laura Mercier was used to create her entire look. The lips were lined with the Lip Pencil in Baby Lips before dabbing Crème Lip Colour in Rose in the middle. Her foundation is the new Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide in Vanille, which will be out this fall, with the famous Secret Concealer in #2 and Second Skin Cheek Colour in Heather Pink.
