I have just returned from a two-week jaunt in Europe, and I have a crowded bathroom counter to show for it. My travels began in Rome where I attended one of the most outrageously beautiful weddings, followed by a few days at Monetverdi Tuscany. Next I went to London for the weekend for 48 hours of post-Italian detox and beauty research, and I ended my journey in Zurich, Switzerland.
At each destination, I picked up the coolest, most innovative beauty products that I knew I couldn’t live without. I did my homework, spoke with the locals, beauty editors and friends to get the low-down on the best in beauty spanning from Italy to England to Switzerland. This is what I came home with:
Santa Maria Novella Mimosa Cream – I once read on Into the Gloss that Amanda Harlech used this cream. I understand why – It’s really good for bumpy and irritated skin. Also, their Santa Maria Novella Bubble Bath is really lovely too.
Alexandra Soveral Angel Balm – In London, I had one of the best and most aggressive facials from Alexandra herself! She’s a beauty editor favorite and has clients all over the globe. I couldn’t leave without her famous Angel cleansing balm, which I have used every day since.
Dr. Jackson’s Coconut Melt – I couldn’t pass through London without checking out Liberty’s new beauty level. This tiny little jar of coconut caught my eye. It’s perfect for travel and the cutest gift too.
Amanda Lacey Miracle Tonic – Another one of London’s top facialists developed this cleanser that is part cleanser, part exfoliator that fights oil buildup and congested complexions. The packaging is also perfect. Who thought a product that helps tackle unsightly spots could look so gorgeous on your bathroom shelf?
Valmont Prime Renewing Pack – Yup, this is one of the best facemasks around. This mask-cream has a light, non-greasy texture that works to smooth and relax facial features, giving you a fresh, radiant, impurity-free complexion.
