Lips are the key to seductiveness, at least according to Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Italian powerhouse Dolce & Gabbana recently launched 42 new lip shades as part of their Cream Lipstick collection. Each color was inspired by a different rose and is strikingly different from the next. I attended the label’s press launch and it was filled to the brim with roses of every variety (I didn’t know there were well over 100 different types of roses!). It was absolute floral heaven.

You can’t help but truly appreciate the attention that went into deciding the exact color of each and every shade. The formula is sooo nice too. As its name claims, the collection is super creamy but is still super moisturizing and buildable, something I love most, meaning you can adjust the shade depending on your personality and mood. D&G suggests that you apply the lipstick with a brush or even with you finger, so you can really customize the look. Pat McGrath, D&G’s Global Creative Advisor suggests you “apply lip color then blot with a tissue after application to help set the color. Then, reapply lipstick. The result is a significantly more intense color effect. It’s a great method to use when you want to draw attention to the lips.”

What I love about this collection is the color selection – it’s seriously gorgeous. I love Goddess, which is the perfect soft natural pink. There are some pretty amazing nudes (that are oh so Bridget Bardot) like Honey and Nude too. You simply need them for when you’re feeling that mod moment. If you’re searching for that perfect red then you must try Devil, the color that actress Monica Bellucci wears in the ad campaign. Chic is another one of my favorites because it’s the perfect shade of warm rosy pink that’s flattering on anyone and goes with everything.

But enough about me, what’s your favorite? Starting at the top (1 o’clock) and going clockwise, Chic, Bon Bon, Dahlia, Daring, Shocking, Traviata, Devil, Bellissima, Honey and Nude.
