Suno is a show you don’t want to miss. On the heels of receiving one of the fashion industry’s major honors, the CFDA Swarovski Women’s Wear Designer of the Year award, they are most certainly on a roll. Their collection, known for being very print heavy, incorporated more solids and textures that usual.

I was surprised to learn that upon entering backstage and assuming that the show was running way behind schedule, I was wrong. But the model’s had no makeup on? Oh, thats the point. The model’s faces were barely there bare – I literally didn’t realize they had any makeup on.  Maybelline BB Cream (I have been seeing BB used everywhere backstage!) was used to create the healthy, luminous complexion and gloss was applied on the eyelid and brows for a fabulous dewy finish. The only true color used was a cream blush applied to the apple of the cheek. I love the fact that no powders were used, only creams and liquids to get this look. Aside from the clothes, the real pop of color was the BRIGHT orange nails, confirming the fact that I have declared ORANGE the color for Spring.

The hair was also quite unique. Models rocked the classic beach waves, with a twist, of course. Odile Gilbert, the “Queen of Reinvention,” created the beach-y, edgy style, featuring a deep middle part (hurray! this trend from Fall is here to stay) and a “hair headband,” where the front sections of the hair were pulled back over the ears and tied underneath the neck with a clear elastic.

There are the easy steps to getting the look:

Blow dry hair and create a deep middle part. Curl hair in sections with a medium-barrel curling iron, and then brush out the curls while blasting with a blow dryer to create a beachy texture. Take the front sections of the hair and pull them back over the ears, tying underneath the nape of the neck with a clear elastic to create a “hair headband.” Apply Kérastase Forme Fatale at the top of the head to give a wet/shiny look. Spray the length with Kérastase Laque Dentelle and finish with Kérastase Powder Bluff to achieve a matte, textured style.

You’ll be Suno chic in no time.
