Finding the motivation to get yourself to the gym, class or even for a simple run is often times the hardest part of it all. I’ve just expressed my love for my current workout stich, Barre3, and with that, I wanted to share with you a few tricks that I am using to help me stay on track:
- Mark my calendar: This way I can plan in advance. I live by my calendar, and this way I can actually adjust my social and work commitments around my workouts. I always use the MindBody app to sign up in advance (this is key!) so I am forced to pay for the class if I decide to cancel at the last minute.
- Bring a friend: Duh, working out with a girlfriend or a work colleague is so much more fun. Plus, I am held accountable to show up and perform.
- Flattering workout apparel: Having something super comfortable and cute to put on before class gives me more motivation and confidence. All you have to do is invest in a few key pieces.
