After meeting Tata Harper and learning about the endless benefits of using products that are organic, non-toxic and all natural…I have found myself making a conscious decision to make the skincare-shift to “clean” products. On a recent trip into my #1 FAV beauty destination Barneys, I found myself in the “natural” section where products like REN, Ilia and Cowshed are sold.
REN Clean Skincare is a brand that I have been interested in for sometime now, which uses only 100% plant and mineral derived actives and is free from skin-unfriendly synthetic ingredients. I am ob-sessed with their Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask, which is a DIY at-home peel that leaves my skin looking instantly brighter, more radiant and reduces the appearance of fine lines and blemishes. Everyone needs this baby.
Since I had the mask situation down, I thought I would focus on my body! Hello – summer is literally tomorrow. REN’s Moroccan Rose Otto Sugar Body Polish is effing amazing. Free of parabens, sulfates, mineral oil, silicones and more, it is a one stop shop for – St. Barths ready – glowing skin.
TIP: The key is to massage onto DRY skin before showering. Some exfoliators would be too rough to use on dry skin, but this formula made with sugar cane, olive oil and lightly scented with rose, is just right. The sugar cane softens and the rose oil plumps skin, removing rough patches and redness.
The results are seriously insane, and I am so into the whole scrubbing the body pre-shower business. So genius.
