With Fashion Week in full effect, I wanted to come up with a healthy and yummy snack for in between shows (and even late night when I need something a little sweet). I completed the Clean Program Cleanse in early January, a 21-day detox eliminating the usual suspects, sugar, gluten, nightshades, etc., and although my cleanse is over, I still try to eat as cleanly as possible. I have been obsessing over the concept of bite sized energy balls for sometime now, and even my Pinterest is overflowing with all different kinds of vegan and raw recipes. I confess that I am not the most skilled when it comes to cooking, but these bite sized balls couldn’t be easier.

I spoke with New York City based health coach Lauren Unger who gave me this amazing recipe that takes minutes to make, requires no baking, and is packed with protein, fiber, antioxidants and more. No joke, this sweet treat will literally leave you glowing. Trust me, this is one “chocolate” treat you will never have to think twice about.

SHE’S IN THE GLOW AMAZEBALLS (makes 6 Balls)

5 tablespoons plant protein power

2 tablespoons flax meal (I used Navitas)

2 tablespoons hemp seeds (I used Navitas)

2 tablespoons shredded coconut

1 tablespoon raw cacao powder (I used Navitas)

2 1/2 tablespoons coconut oil (Read about my coconut coffee scrub here)

1⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon

1⁄2 tablespoon stevia

COMBINE THE INGREDIENTS. Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl. Stir until ingredients are mixed well.

COOL. Store in the fridge for 20ish minutes so the mixture hardens a bit.

MAKE THE AMAZEBALLS. Once ingredients are mixed well, roll them into 6 even balls. Serve or store in refrigerator.
