Why you need this Korean Illuminator

The Japanese are known for being light-years ahead when it comes to skincare technology. They are one the original users of cleansing oils, skin brighteners, anti-pigmentation products and who could forget the notorious BB, CC and even DD creams. Even the sheet or cloth masques soaked in serums are Japanese by origin. I simply couldn’t live without: SK-II (Facial Treatment Masks), Shishedo (Pure Retinol Instant Treatment Eye Mask), Shu Uemura (Beauty Cleansing Oil) and Tatcha (Nourishing Lip Balm) that blend technology, elegance and pure beauty magic.

It is no surprise that just when I thought I had found the best luminizing product out there…I hadn’t. PLEASE do yourself a favor and get involved in Koh Gen Do’s Aqua Foundation Sheer Beige Illuminator! It’s to die for.

Just so you know… Koh Gen Do has quite the story. This Japan-based line is a favorite of makeup artists around the world and is responsible for the faces from movies like American Hustle to Twelve Years a Slave. DAMN.  The line was actually envisioned by an actress who wanted to battle the unforgiving precision of HD TV with makeup that was “camera ready,” yet totally natural. During the filming of the Tom Cruise flick, Samurai, a Japan-based makeup artist introduced the brand to Hollywood and the rest is history.

The Aqua Foundation Sheer Beige Illuminator is just right. You can apply it by itself or mixing a drop into your foundation and even lotion. Apply to areas that are the most exposed to the light—outside of eyes, forehead, brim of nose, Cupid’s bow and collarbones. It creates the most beautiful and flawless glow without altering skin tone. This is without a doubt my newest radiance obsession.
