For Spring 2014, I was imagining fireflies in a forest of birch trees at the darkest hour before the dawn. I was thinking about transitions and the idea that the end of something is always the beginning of something else…” -Giovanna Randall

My takeaway from Honor Spring 2013 was that clean modelesque skin is in. The look was fresh and feminine, no harsh lines. The cheeks were left bare and blushless. Makeup was by Romy Soleimani for Beauty.com using Kevyn Aucoin (my fave!).

I love the fact that the skin was prepped by Eve Lom. Its not everyday that there is a separate skincare and makeup sitch backstage!

The hair was a dry, textured and tousled, yet beautifully shiny and healthy at the same time. The models rocked a loose ponytail that reminded me of a girl rolling freely in a field of flowers. I loved the little flower bobby pins… So cute, right? I am all over this.

Nail queen Deborah Lippmann designed the most beautiful nails which appeared to be a mix between witchy and feminine. Models rocked a mid-length pointed nail with a Swarovski rhinestone pyramid at the base of the nail. Two coats of Deborah Lippmann’s “La Vie En Rose” (Spring 2014) were applied to add warmth (tip: when using this color on your own, wait two minutes to dry between coats). Then she placed 6 small rhinestones in a pyramid shape (3,2,1) starting at the base of the nail and moving up towards the center of the nail. If you don’t want to wait till Spring, get the look now using Deborah Lippmann’s “Prelude To A Kiss” topped with “Diamonds And Pearls.”
