There are so many amazing things happening in the world of beauty, especially on the organic and non-toxic front. My latest obsession, RED FLOWER, is a perfect example of just this. Inspired by sources of natural beauty, Red Flower is dedicated to looking and feeling gorgeous through conscious lifestyle choices. The brand strives to bring holistic medicine, science, and spirituality to the beauty sphere, while focusing on sustainability, calming aesthetics, and positive ritual. It’s all about taking a moment to reconnect and restore. And who couldn’t use a moment? I know I could.

It didn’t take me long to get hooked on Red Flower. The first product that caught my eye was from the Hamman collection. After learning about the transformative and healing powers of the Hammam treatment from my friend Nadia, I have been literally DYING to come up with a way to make this a part of my at-home routine. Hammam (which means spreader of warmth) is a sensual ritual involving heat, steam, detoxification, rich scents and relaxation. Tracing its roots back to the ancient romans, this ritual is chalked full of benefits. The experience is a detoxifying and therapeutic body treatment created to draw deep impurities out from the body.

I just had to try more Red Flower. Here are my new faves:

The Lemon Coffee Blossom Olive Stone Scrub is one of the best body exfoliators I’ve ever tried.  Seriously. Arabic coffee, black olives, sugar, and fresh lemon are combined to invigorate the circulatory system and encourage cellular turnover. The coffee decreases the formation of cellulite and also tightens and shrinks the blood vessels, helping to reduce the appearance of varicose veins. The rich oil of black olive is high in complex fatty acids that deeply nourish. If you want to take it to the next level, scrub using exfoliating gloves.

The Lymphatic Phytopower Sea Cleanser and Masque is like a dream. First off, it smells incredible, like I want to live in this scent forever. There are so many ways to use this creamy cleanser; it triples a classic face wash, as a quick masque (applied for 5 minutes, twice weekly), OR, for something more intensive, as an overnight masque. Genius, right?! The vitamin-rich marine plants, arctic white peat, organic mushrooms and sun-filled berries balance and repair environmentally damaged skin. Applied as a masque, it delivers a surge of moisture that replenishes the skin while reducing the appearance of fine lines. The added essential oil of juniper berry gently plumps the complexion and conditions the skin to reduce inflammation, puffiness and signs of acne and eczema. It also encourages collagen production and releasing excess fluids and toxins. This is my new face wash/weekly masque! I’m not kidding – this is the real deal.

The Essential Omega Fresh Berry-Oil Serum is the second to last step in the face skincare process, after toner, before moisturizer. What I like about Red Flower’s serum is that it is high in essential omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which both work to replenish moisture and support collagen production to diminish signs of aging. The juniper berry essential oil works to reduce puffiness and dark circles under the eyes and also treats acne, eczema and skin irritations. In fact, berry oils contain the potent antioxidant ellagic acid, which fights radical damage and retains moisture, preventing wrinkle formation and collagen breakdown.

BOOM.
