Kate Bosworth Loves Byredo

I have read time and time again that Kate Bosworth’s signature scent is Byredo Gypsy Water, a beautiful mixture of sweet amber and vanilla mixed with a little lemon. Naturally, I had to check it out. Upon smelling it over at Barney’s, I learned for myself just how alluring this refreshing, sweet and almost masculine scent is. And it just seems oh so Kate. It’s hard to explain, but it’s just cool.

Byredo is an uber cool fragrance line based in Stockholm that was founded in 2006 by Ben Gorham. There are a number of beautiful scents from Byredo, but my other favorites are Bal D’Afrique (jasmine, marigold and musk) and La Tulipe (freesia and tulip). Even the bottles themselves are works of art. Designed with the help of a friend who previously worked for Acne (aka the cool kids on the block in fashion), the bottle features a simple black and white logo with typography that recalls classic brands like Chanel No. 5 and Acqua di Parma. To me, they are like the Diptyque of Fragrance bottles – chic and iconic.

To make their line even more irresistible, the brand recently launched a new line of Roll-On Oils in seven of their most popular scents, including my three faves, of course. I couldn’t be more thrilled, since I love carrying a travel-sized fragrance in my bag for midday pick-me-ups. This makes smelling good on-the-go so much easier.

Finally! One step closer to being Kate Bosworth. Now I just need to invest in that damn expensive SK-II Facial Treatment Essence that both Kate and Cate Blanchett swear by, and I’ll be happy.

Gorgeous images from Vogue.
