New York Fashion Week marks the official beginning of the month long preview of the fashion and beauty trends that we can expect to see in stores, advertisements and on beauty counters this coming fall. As a beauty blogger, I spend Fashion Week behind the scenes, backstage, as opposed to sitting and watching the show from the front. Over the next week, I will be trekking from show to show, picking up quotes from the hair and makeup artists, trying to understand their inspiration and getting the inside scoop straight from the fashion and beauty tastemakers. On a typical day, I’ll wake up at around 6am and won’t come home until past midnight. Because I am gone literally all day, it’s important I choose makeup that will last, and nothing overly complicated. When it comes to New York, less is always more, in a radiant and dewy kind of way, of course.
